What We're Looking For:
Barge Design Solutions, Inc. is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead and expand our Florida transportation practice. This role involves providing strategic direction and leadership to our Florida-based team, aligning with Barge's goal to grow our services and client base in Florida. This is a remote position with opportunities to work from any office location.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute business plans for the State & Local Client Center, aligning with the firm's strategic goals.
- Collaborate with the Director of Projects, Client Service Leaders (CSLs), and Marketing to develop and execute client marketing plans, pursuit strategies, teaming agreements, proposals, and interviews.
Manage project functions including:
- Developing proposals and negotiating contracts.
- Monitoring project schedules, budgets, billing, and collections.
- Providing technical oversight to ensure adherence to Barge's Quality program.
- Facilitating meetings during all project phases.
- Managing changes in project scope and effort.
- Develop conceptual design solutions to meet client goals.
- Collaborate with technical leaders to develop reports, designs, plans, and specifications.
- Supervise and mentor staff to ensure effective workload management and professional development.
- Ensure key skillsets and capabilities are in place to support operational needs through recruitment and workforce development.
- Collaborate across departments to allocate resources and share talent firmwide.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience Qualifications:
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from an accredited program.
- PE or PMP certification preferred.
- 10-15 years of experience in roadway design/project management.
- Experience with the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT).
- Strong design and technical skills.
- Excellent communication skills (oral, written, graphical).
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Strong team-building and collaboration skills.
