What We're Looking For

Barge Design Solutions is seeking to fill the position of Water/Wastewater Engineer-In-Training in the Nashville, TN office location.

Responsibilities for this position include:
  • Assists in the design of a variety of water service projects
  • Collaborates with project team members, client representatives, review agencies to help resolve a variety of complex problems
  • Assists in the analysis, preparation or modification of technical reports, drawings, plans and specifications for projects.
  • Uses computer assisted engineering and design software and equipment to prepare engineering and design documents
  • Participates in project site visits with other project team members, as needed
  • Demonstrates strong attention to detail
  • Performs other duties as requested

Education/Experience Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited program
  • 0 - 4 years of design experience. Prior internship experience is a plus
  • EIT Certification, or an ability to obtain EIT in TN within 6 months of start date, is required
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret job-related manuals and documents
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word and Excel
  • Strong interpersonal/communication skills
  • Ability to work and learn in a fast-paced collaborative team atmosphere with an established group of surveyors, engineers, scientists, and administrative staff
