What We're Looking For:
Barge Design Solutions, Inc. is seeking a qualified person to lead the development and implementation of a Total Rewards strategy that will further support our efforts to attract and retain the best talent. The Compensation and Benefits Lead will report to the Director of Human Resources and will be responsible for demonstrating thought leadership on the development of total rewards methodologies and approaches, leading the implementation of new projects and initiatives and directing the service delivery of compensation and benefits.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead the development, communication, and administration for competitive total rewards strategies, including various forms of direct and indirect compensation programs, as well as, other forms of recognition aligning with company philosophy
  • Oversee the review, communication, and implementation of the annual benefit programs open enrollment process
  • Partner with benefits broker to ensure successful benefits administration
  • Develop a program to communicate and audit total rewards program effectiveness with senior leaders
  • Administer and review salary market data and compensation structure
  • Oversee job titles and job families program including evaluation of new jobs, slotting in compensation structure, and communication of career paths
  • Lead all compensation tasks including merit, annual bonus, compression, and promotion changes
  • Provide expertise and recommendations to leadership to support decision making
  • Responsible for ensuring procedures are in compliance with policy, federal and states notices, forms, authorizations, etc. and provide related management support and training
  • Performs other duties as requested


Education & Experience Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Human Resources Administration, or other related field
  • 5-10 years+ Human Resources experience, including significant experience successfully designing and implementing various pay and benefits programs
  • Experience navigating ERISA, HIPAA, COBRA and emerging regulatory issues
  • Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) or other Human Resources Certification (SPHR, SHRM-SCP), a plus
