Key Responsibilities
- Lead multimodal transportation planning initiatives across various contexts, from statewide to neighborhood levels.
- Drive teams in projects and public engagement activities, shaping transportation policies and practices.
- Spearhead visionary transportation planning projects, fostering innovation and quality.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, positioning Barge as a leader in transportation planning.
- Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion in transportation planning processes.
- Collaborate with stakeholders at federal, state, and local levels to build lasting relationships.
- Manage technical delivery of transportation planning projects across the Southeastern United States.
- Mentor and guide technical specialists, fostering a culture of innovation and growth.
Education & Experience Qualifications:
- Bachelor's (preferably a Master's degree) in Transportation Planning, Urban Planning or Design, Civil Engineering, Landscape Architecture, or a related field.
- AICP certification is preferred.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in multimodal transportation planning, preferably with MPOs, DOTs, or municipalities.
- Proficiency in transportation planning software, GIS tools, and data analysis techniques.
- Experience in graphic production using Sketchup and Adobe Creative Suite is desirable.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and oral.
