What We're Looking For:
Barge is currently seeking to fill an entry-level Landscape Architecture Associate position in the Landscape Architecture and Planning (LA/P) practice area. Design projects include parks and recreation, urban design, housing, town centers, streetscapes, greenways, trails, educational and institutional projects. The group is committed and passionate about the quality and innovation of our design within the built environment.

Responsibilities for this position include:

• Sharing your passion for Landscape Architecture within our multi-disciplinary environment.
• Assists with project tasks such as product research and the production of plans and specifications, including layout plans, planting plans and design details.
• Participates in critical thinking exercises during the kick-off/schematic phase of design analysis and fabrication.
• Develops and applies graphic skills beyond those currently held. Participates in analysis and development of advanced applications for existing and new software.
• Assists in preparation or modification of graphics, reports, exhibits and cost estimates for conceptual designs and master plans.
• Provides support to the landscape architecture and planning production team

Education & Experience Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Landscape Architecture from an accredited university
• May 2024 grads welcome to apply!
• Self-motivated and willingness to learn and grow
• Desire to pursue career in landscape architecture including licensure
• Strong graphic, design, verbal and written communication skills
• Solid fundamental AutoCAD skills
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Microsoft Office Suite
• Familiarity with Lumion, LandFX, and Civil3D is desired
• Prior experience working in a professional office setting is preferred
• Strong work ethic and passion for the profession
• Ability to work with other design disciplines within a collaborative environment
• Ability to submit portfolio and/or a link to your portfolio with professional resume
