IT Support Analyst

What We're Looking For:
Barge has an immediate opening for an IT Service Desk Technician. This candidate will be responsible for providing technical support and assistance to end-users within the organization. They are responsible for resolving IT-related issues, troubleshooting problems, and ensuring smooth technology operations. This position serves as the front line of IT support and requires strong communication skills, technical knowledge, and a customer-service approach.

Daily actions will be performed in our corporate headquarters located in Nashville, TN. However, this position may be required to travel to our remote office locations.

• Communicate technical information clearly to non-technical users.

• Deliver excellent customer service by maintaining a professional and helpful demeanor.

• Assist users with hardware and software issues, such as installations and configurations, system crashes, application errors, and password resets.

• Follow up with users to ensure that their issues are resolved satisfactorily.

• Diagnose and resolve technical problems promptly, ensuring minimal downtime for users.

• Perform basic network troubleshooting to address connectivity issues.

• Create and maintain records of user-reported incidents and service requests.

• Prioritize and categorize incidents based on urgency and impact, following established protocols.

• Escalate complex issues to higher-level IT teams when necessary.

• Keep documentation current to facilitate self-service for end-users.

• Assist in managing IT assets, including maintaining an inventory of hardware and software licenses.

• Help with hardware provisioning and deployment as needed.

• Promote and enforce IT security policies and best practices.

• Educate end-users on security awareness and safe computing practices.

Education & Experience Qualifications:
• Associate or Bachelor degree in Computer Science,

• 3+ years IT support experience; applicable IT certification is a plus.

• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Customer-focused mindset and a commitment to providing quality support.

• Experience with Active Directory and network fundamentals such as IP addresses, DHCP, DNS. Basic experience with network equipment such as printers, switches and firewalls.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

• Must be able to lift 50lbs
