Key Responsibilities: - Strategic Leadership: Lead the accounting function through a period of significant change, including process optimization, and systems upgrades, while maintaining compliance with GAAP and regulatory standards.
- Change Management: Develop and implement a strategic roadmap for modernizing the accounting function, promoting operational efficiencies, and driving accountability across teams.
- Leverage Data and Analytics: Utilize advanced business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, AI) to develop real-time insights that shape strategic decisions and improve operational performance.
- Financial Oversight: Oversee all general accounting operations, including month-end close, cash management, payroll, and financial reporting, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Build & Inspire a High-Performing Team: Mentor and lead a diverse team of accounting professionals, promoting a culture where creativity, inclusivity, and continuous learning thrive.
- System and Process Improvement: Champion the integration of financial systems (e.g., BST Global) and business intelligence tools (Power BI), ensuring seamless and secure financial reporting.
- Collaborative Partnership: Work closely with senior leadership to drive cross-functional alignment, providing insights and recommendations that support business decisions and long-term financial planning.
- Cultural Transformation: Be a cultural ambassador, promoting a positive, transparent, and accountable work environment where diverse voices are heard, respected, and valued.
Education & Experience Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (required); CPA, CMA, or Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum 10 years of relevant accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Experience with change management and leading large-scale transformation efforts.
- Knowledge of GAAP, Federal Acquisition Regulations Part 31, and accounting systems (BST Global or similar).
- Proficiency with business intelligence tools such as Power BI.
- Strong leadership, team-building, and mentorship experience, particularly in a restructuring environment.
- Ability to lead and motivate diverse teams in a rapidly changing environment.
