As our Civil Engineering Manager, you'll manage technical projects, develop and grow teams of engineers and designers, ensure project successes, and contribute to Barge's continued growth across our entire footprint.
Key Responsibilities:
• Technical Execution: Lead technical teams and design efforts on complex civil engineering projects, create a collaborative work environment, and provide expert consulting.
• Project Management Support: Perform project reviews with Client Leads, Project Managers, and Technical Leads, track project execution and deliverables, ensure adherence to scope, budget, schedule, and quality standards. Resolve project and technical issues to meet/exceed project metrics and client expectations.
• Quality: Implement and document the Barge quality process. Review plans, specifications, and project documentation to ensure quality deliverables.
• Team Management: Manage, supervise, and develop a team of engineers and designers, growing the combined capabilities of the team, and enhancing individual career growth and the employee experience.
• Business Development: Collaborate with the Client Center to define, support, and implement strategic and business plans. Develop proposals, including technical approach, fee estimate, and schedule for presentation to clients. Build positive relationships with clients, officials, agencies, contractors, and key stakeholders.
Education & Experience Qualifications:
• Professional Engineering License and 10+ Years Experience
• Technical Expertise: Proven expertise in Civil Engineering preparing plans, specifications, and reports for civil site and infrastructure projects including stormwater management, grading/drainage, utilities, and permitting.
• Leadership: Communication and interpersonal skills to develop both internal and external professional relationships, contribute to strategic business planning, manage engineering teams and foster collaboration at all levels.
• Technical & Project Management: Experience managing complex technical projects and teams, monitoring project performance metrics, and providing quality deliverables.
• Business Acumen: Understanding of business development, operations, financial metrics, and strategic planning.
• Relocation Assistance Available: For qualified candidates not local to Nashville Tennessee.
