What We're Looking For:
Barge Design Solutions is seeking a Client Services Leader who works to maintain and grow long-term relationships between Barge and assigned clients, as well as lead business development efforts within the Georgia footprint. A key responsibility of this role will be leading strong client relations and maintain close communication with Project Managers and discipline leads to ensure and verify projects are executed according to defined plans, quality standards, and client expectations. In business development efforts, this role is responsible for coordinating, supporting, and conducting business development activities that align with Barge's strategic plan. This role combines deep professional proficiency with knowledge of the business to enhance financial results.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develops the business strategy for Georgia in collaboration with the CSL team, Project Managers, and technical leads.
  • Recommends the contracts secured goal for the Georgia CSL team.
  • Responsible for the business development budget for statewide conferences in Georgia.
  • Provides guidance on strategic selling to new CSLs and other staff.
  • Contributes to and executes strategies to support Georgia through establishing strong relationships with discipline directors and other subject matter specialists on reconnaissance, pursuits, and securing of work.
  • Undertakes proactive workforce planning initiatives and executes plans resulting in identifying opportunities through seeking new clients, estimating opportunity cost, etc.
  • Develops and executes plans to achieve growth and financial profitability by securing contracts.
  • Collaborates with Marketing to complete go/stop analysis and develop win plans.
  • Guides and leads the development of proposals, collaborating with the PM to identify the scope, schedule, and budget negotiation.
  • Represents the company at various events including promoting Barge at various client events and at industry trade associations.
  • Maintains communication with teams to monitor progress of project, ensure client engagement, and lead conflict resolution.
  • Occasionally provides technical support to ensure successful deliverables.
  • This role may have office leadership responsibilities to ensure company information is communicated and local office needs are resolved.
  • Ensure Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tool maintenance
  • Actively works to manage business development costs to an annually determined budget.
  • Performs other duties as required.


Education & Experience Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree from accredited program.
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in the A&E industry with demonstrated success in project management.
  • Experience and demonstrated success working with public and private sector clients that can include developing government contracts, working with local private developers, various community or industrial development organizations, or other relevant industries or clients.
  • Experience and expertise in Water/Wastewater is not required but is a plus.
  • Professional Network in Georgia
  • Strong client relationship skills and technical credibility resulting in strong rapport with clients.
  • Strong knowledge of various industry practices, Barge procedures, goals and strategies to promote and grow regional business unit goals.
  • Knowledge of regional organization structures, municipal and county operations.
  • Ability make strong business decisions guided by broadly defined strategies that positively impact the defined geographic market.
  • Effectively communicates highly specialized information to numerous audiences, including senior leadership and critical business/external stakeholders.
  • Ability to steer and persuade clients and employees to lead toward favorable and ethical results for the company.
