What We're Looking For:
We are looking for a Senior Construction Administrator who will act as the design professional's and owner's representative at a site. This role provides oversight and executes construction phase activities in alignment with the design professional's standards on large/ complex projects providing updates and clear communication with various stakeholders. The individual will spend time on site observing the construction phases of work including quality control, constructability, completeness, and provide regular updates to the Project Manager. This position is in Panama City, FL.

Responsibilities for this position include:
  • Provides overall coordination and management as the client representative on large/ complex construction projects from pre-construction, construction, and close-out
  • Studies and understands the requirements of project contract documents for large/complex projects
  • Oversees the construction phases of work including quality control, constructability, and completeness providing regular updates to the Project Manager (PM) and/ or design team.
  • Observe and document construction activities for improvement.
  • Review and enforce architecture related specifications and drawings. Coordinate changes with the design professional and contractor.
  • Leads various kick off meetings and monthly meetings providing updates to various stakeholders
  • Assists Project Managers (PM) and/or design professional with their duties on assigned projects
  • Consults with the design professional on large/ complex matters of acceptability and interpretation related to products, materials, or workmanship and on contract documents (shop drawings/ submittals).
  • Manages submittal reviews and Requests for Information (RFI's) from the contractor. Consults with design professional on complex matters.
  • Facilitates resolution of project issues that occur during construction
  • Mentors and trains other field representatives
  • Promote health and safety in all aspects of project execution
  • Performs other duties as requested

Job Requirements/Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in construction, architecture, or related field with 10 years of relevant construction experience. Other relevant construction experience may count in lieu of bachelor's degree.
  • Possession of a valid state issued Driver's License and required auto insurance
  • Must be willing to travel to projects by car or air and stay out of town overnight for extended periods of time

Physical Requirements:
  • This position works in a construction site area. Individual will need to be able to climb ladders, go into manholes, and comfortable working in an environment with various weather conditions and noise levels.
