What We're Looking For:
Barge Design Solutions, Inc. is currently seeing to fill an Industrial and Energy Client Services Leader. This position may be located in any of the Georgia offices or may work remotely from South Carolina. This is a leadership role and is critical to the strategic objectives of the business and to collaborating with the Client Service Leaders (CSLs) and Facilities Engineering team members to grow our Industrial and Energy practice and deliver projects for our clients. As such, this role includes a combination of project management and business development (BD) responsibilities. Specifically, this role will assist in developing and implementing a strategic Industrial focused BD plan for the geography in collaboration with the overall CSL team and Division Manager; leveraging the candidate's relationships and experience to drive that market's growth. This role serves as the key point of contact with select clients and takes the lead on proposals, pursuits, and project management related to that client's business.

Responsibilities for this position include:

General:
  • The Industrial and Energy CSL reports directly to the Industrial and Energy Division Manager.
  • Develop a knowledge of the client's business operations, identify decision makers, and understand who Barge is competing against for the client's work.
  • Develop the strategy for growing the Industrial and Energy market (planning and design services for Automotive, Aerospace, Tire Production and General Design-Build work) in the geography.

Client Service Management:
  • Serve as the key point of contact for select clients
  • Collaborate with the CSL team in the development and implementation of a Client Plan for their respective client(s).
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key staff in the client's organization.
  • Status the Client plan(s) regularly to drive actions and accountability.
  • Understand the status of client projects Barge is delivering.
  • Keep Uninet (CRM tool used by Barge) updated and relevant so Industrial and Energy has an accurate projection of opportunities.

Project Management:
  • Work with Industrial and Energy's Director of Projects, CSLs, and Facilities Engineering Technical Managers to develop & negotiate scopes and fees for client projects.
  • Assist Project Managers with the preparation of Project Management Plans involving multiple Business Units and/or multiple offices to ensure that Client objectives for projects are met.
  • Performs activities identified with Project Manager
  • Provides support to the Project Manager in a Project Principal role

Pursuits:
  • Identify opportunities within client organization and develop a win plan in collaboration with the Division Manager to capture the opportunity.
  • Lead the go/no go process.
  • Coordinate with Marketing so they are away of upcoming proposals.
  • Build Barge's brand with the client.

Proposal Development:
  • Lead proposal preparation with support from Marketing, Project Manager, and Facilities Engineering.
  • Work with Division Manager and Facilities Engineering Leads to determine win-themes, representative project pages and staffing plans.
  • Work with the Division Manager and Marketing Proposal Coordinator to develop the Proposal Workplan for each competitive proposal for the client.


Education & Experience Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree from accredited program.
  • Minimum 10 years of engineering experience.
  • Ability to effectively guide, lead, and motivate employees.
  • Strategic agility - Anticipates future trends and implications accurately. Creates competitive strategies that show a clear connection between vision and action. Balances short-term results with long-term thinking
  • Effectively partner with business and project teams to meet objectives within and outside of the division.
  • Ability to make sound business decisions guided by Division, Client Center and Firm strategy.
  • Sets priorities and reconciles information from competing interests.
